Usage classes and classifications
Vinyl Sports Flooring Composed of:
1. wear layer: homogeneous PVC blend, plasticizers and stabilizers containing silicon carbide particles preventing slipping even on wet surfaces
2. Stabilizing fibreglass
3. Reverse: blend of homogeneous PVC, plasticizers, stabilizers, inorganic additives, coloured pigments and small particle size inert fillers.
The layers are joined together by heat press.
The surface must be flat, smooth, dry, firm, free of cracks and grease and maintain these characteristics over time. During installation, the ambient temperature must be at least 18° and this temperature must be maintained for at least 2 days after installation completion. Installation implements complete bonding to backing; contacting manufacturers to identify the most appropriate adhesive is advised. The maximum residual humidity of the subfloor must be ≤ 2.5%. In the case of laying on subfloors that are not basements, or are lacking a ventilated crawl space or lightweight screeds, waterproofing is necessary before casting the screed. The joints will be heat sealed together.
Remove any traces of adhesive while they are still fresh. During the first 15 days, wash with a wet rag avoiding the use of excess water. Warning: do not clean with solvents such as trichloroethylene, acetone, etc. Prolonged contact with castors, rubber feet or other rubber items may cause the formation of indelible dark marring to flooring.
