Composition
Supplied in sheets (H 200 cm L 20 ml) thickness 3.0 mm or in tiles (50 x 50 cm) thickness 3.0 mm, Virag Matè flooring is available in the two SILK collections - offering 20 natural and coloured shades - and SHINY with its range of 10 options. The flooring is made up of a supported matting effect vinyl surface layer, composed of a homogeneous blend of vinyl resins, plasticizers, stabilizers, inorganic additives and inert mineral fillers. The surface wear layer consists of 97% polyvinyl chloride, 2% polyester and 1% fibreglass. Thanks to the addition of the acoustic underlay, it is possible to achieve an improvement in acoustic absorption LW = 19 Db. The reaction to fire class is Bfl – s1.
Installation instructions
The laying surface must be flat, smooth, dry, firm, free of grease and cracks and maintain these characteristics over time. Before installation, allow material to acclimate. During installation, the relative humidity of the air must be between 30 and 60%, and the ambient temperature must be at least 18°C. This temperature must be maintained for at least two days after work completion. Indoor installation is carried out with simple glue spreading using suitable adhesives according to the manufacturers' instructions. The maximum permissible humidity for concrete substrates is 2.5%. In the case of laying on subfloors that are not basements or lacking a ventilated crawl space, waterproofing is necessary before casting the screed. The textile structure of the surface could give rise to imperfect alignment. This can be partially corrected during the installation phase with suitable precautions. To make the joints, the overlapping selvedges must be cut and then cold sealed with the specific THF-based liquid (tetrahydrofuran). The 50 x 50 cm, 3mm thickness tile version is loose-lay; installation must be carried out using a removable adhesive.
Cleaning and maintenance
Remove any adhesive stains immediately with a detergent. Floor can be walked on immediately after laying. Wash with a wet cloth avoiding the use of excess water. A metallic wax-based treatment is recommended immediately after installation and subsequently as needed. For periodic maintenance, use standard vinyl flooring cleaners available on the market and follow up with waxing. The vinyl fabric can be vacuumed or cleaned using suitable equipment. Solvents are not recommended. Warning: Prolonged resting of tyres may cause indelible dark marring to form on flooring.
